Bringo Fresh, a platform that lets individuals order fresh produce online and have it delivered to their doorsteps has been launched in Uganda.
This comes at a time when Ugandan farmers are faced with a number of produce marketing challenges.
Consumers on the other hand, brave a number of inconveniences in order to get fresh produce.
According to Bringo Fresh CEO, Brian Matsiko, all what consumers have to do is either download the Bringo Fresh app on their phones, or visit Bringo Fresh website to place an order.
“By using Bringo Fresh to purchase produce, you are supporting local farmers, and consequently fostering the ‘Buy Uganda Build Uganda’ (BUBU) development notion. More importantly, all the produce sold on our platforms is fresh and organic at reasonable prices. The delivery in most parts of Kampala is free which not only saves customers money, but also eases planning for grocery shopping and the entire household budget,” Matsiko said at the launch of the App on Saturday.
This was revealed at a press tour of the Bringo Fresh office premises at the Uganda Cares Building on Kira Road, Kampala.
The company ensures freshness of the products, timely deliveries, and customer satisfaction.
Among the fresh produce that Bringo Fresh deals in are fruits, vegetables, fish, meat and spices among others.
