Retired army Major General Kasirye Gwanga is under investigation by the Uganda Police over reports that he shot at the car of singer, Catherine Kusasira.
Local reports indicate that the incident happened on Tuesday evening in Makindye on the outskirts of the city, Kampala.
Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman, told local media that shooting that left no one injured happened after a brief verbal exchange between the General’s children and the artist’s hangers on.
The General’s children were buying chips when Kusasira’s aides arrived in a car, playing music whose volume was up. The children Kusasira’s aides to turn down the volume, but they refused.
The children then threatened to call their dad who would burn what they called Kusasira’s “cheap car.”
Moments later, Gwanga showed up and reportedly fired shots at her car before driving off.
