There was excitement on Thursday morning as traders in Uganda’s capital, Kampala gathered to listen to the country’s President Yoweri Museveni along Jinja road.
The President made stop overs along Jinja road, at Banda, Kireka, and Bweyogerere.
Speaking to the gatherings, President Museveni said that he has personally come forward to help the people involved in various artisan trades that need help.
He assured them that the NRM Government is committed in facilitating them in the struggle to build workshops and showrooms as this will go a long way in enabling the country get liberated from the slavery of importing goods that can be made domestically.
He praised them for getting involved in income generating ventures.
Along the way, the president was gifted with a bunch of Matooke at Banda – Munkere market. (PPU PHOTOS)
