This is an open counsel to Pastor Bujingo, wife Teddy and other Christians.
Know you all that marriage is both a gold mine and a land mine at the same time.
It (marriage) is meant to fulfill Godly arithmetic of one plus oneequalsone and I am sure the Bujingos have been at the forefront counseling other Christians with marital problems. There is an old expression that goes…..
“To be forewarned is to be forearmed”.
All of have read from the scriptures that the first man on earth Adam had a problem with his beloved wife Eva who interestingly was extracted from his own rib but there is no record of him (Adam) having put his wife away because marriage is a special kind of life-long union between one man and one woman that carries with it a special commitment.
As above, marriage started in the Garden of Eden, instituted by God with creation of the above 2 persons (Adam and Eva). This first couple, being created male and female were strictly made for marriage (Genesis 1:27).
Of the 3 paramount institutions God made at first i.e. MARRIAGE, GOVERNMENT and CHURCH, the former was made firstwhen God said “it is not good that man should be alone, I will make him a helper comparable to him”.
This union is symbolized by the union between Jesus Christ and Christians (the Church) therefore in this union the husband and wife in our today’s case Bujingo and Teddy are to display to each other the kind of spirit Christ Jesus manifests towards us, Christians (Ephesians 5:25-33).
There are 3 divine, uncompromised reasons behind God’s marriage law viz: companionship– it is not good to be alone (Gen. 2:18), procreation– it is the avenue through which children are to be brought into the world (Gen. 4:1), satisfaction of sexual appetites of the flesh (1 Corinthians 7:2-4)“ let the husband render to his wife the affection due to her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority of her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.”
God expects the 2 of you to leave all the relationships in order to establish a non-ending (permanent) one as husband (Aloysius) and wife (Teddy) bearing in mind that they (women) are as in 1 Peter 3:7 weaker vessels.Like the Biblical record shows Job, Lot even Joseph (Jesus’ father) and Mary had physical and spiritual disagreements like any of us but they fought on.
