Museveni Meets Religious Leaders For 2nd Time In Less Than A Month

President Yoweri Museveni Saturday met religious leaders under their umbrella body Inter Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU) for the second time in less than a month.

About a fortnight ago, Museveni invited religious leaders to tour farms in Ibanda and Kiruhura District so that they can pick lessons on poverty eradication.

The 60-strong delegation of religious leaders that met the President at State House Entebbe was led by the IRCU Chairman, Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje, who is Chief Mufti of Uganda.

Museveni lectured religious leaders, saying “leadership is about caring for others.” The meeting between Museveni and the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda was a follow up of recent familiarisation tour by the religious leaders to the districts of Ibanda, Kiruhuura and Masaka, Linda Nabusayi Wamboka, the Presidential Press Secretary tweeted.
