A Ugandan Bishop has praised the country’s President Yoweri Museveni for his intensified fight against the evil of corruption.
Bishop Patrick Gidudu of Mbale Diocese in eastern Uganda thanked the President for fighting the vice in the country.
While delivering his Easter sermon to hundreds of Christians at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Mbale Municipality, Bishop Gidudu pointed out that some politicians enjoy seeing bad things happen and they say it’s okay.
Bishop Gidudu said corruption has permeated all levels of society up to the home.
His remarks come a week after the country’s Junior Labour Minister, Herbert Kabafunzaki was netted allegedly soliciting a bribe from an investor.
Bishop Gidudu noted that those who have embezzled public money should repent and return the money.
