Property magnate Dr Sudhir Ruparelia has pardoned employees of radion Sanyu FM who had all been sacked after they staged a sit-down strike to protest a Management decision to reduce their salaries due to the COVID-19 lock down.
The radio station’s management on Wednesday decided to fire all the employees and replace them with new ones after they rejected a decision to slash their salaries by 25%, because of the COVID-19 effects on the Company’s finances.
However, after a lengthy meeting held between the sacked staff and management of the radio, tycoon Suhdir agreed to give the disgruntled employees a second chance, but asked them to reapply for their jobs and only those who qualify will be rehired.
