Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has refuted claims that President Yoweri Museveni has appointed a substantive Executive Director, noting that Eng Andrew Kitaka is still the Acting Executive Director.
Taking to his official twitter handle, Peter Kaujju, the KCCA Spokesperson said: “There has been a lot of mention on several pages about a ‘new’ appointment @KCCAUG. Please note that there’s no communication to that effect from the appointing authority. We are carrying out our duties normally for a better city…”
Social media was awash with news that Jamil Ssenyonjo, who is currently working with Uganda Revenue Authority, had been appointed KCCA substantive Executive Director. In December last year, Minister for Kampala, Beti Kamya appointed Kitaka (in featured photo) as the Acting Executive Director of KCCA following the resignation of Jennifer Musisi
