Promising young musician Patrick Ssenyonjo (pictured above) known by his stage name Fresh Kid is not only talented musically, but also academically, according to his performance from the prestigious Kampala Parents’ School.
According to a report card shared by his managers on his official Facebook page, Fresh Kid UG, Ssenyonjo got a total of 388 out of a possible 400 to emerge top of his stream which had 52 pupils.
He was automatically promoted to P.3.
According to the report card, Ssenyonjo scored 98% in English, Literacy 1A and Literacy B respectively. He then scored 94% in Numbers.
He was number one in all the above subjects expect English where he came out 4th. In spoken English, he scored C and B in Reading, Art & Craft, Free Activity and Healthy Education.
He then scored A in Physical Education and Games, News, Music and Movement and Luganda.
It should be noted that in May this year, Kampala Parents’ School through the efforts of Rajiv Ruparelia offered Ssenyonjo full scholarship.
“I only identified a talent that was moving so fast and I feared that it would collapse in a short period,” Rajiv said. He added that there have been many people as talented as Fresh Kid but because they do not go or never went through school, they easily collapse and their talent goes to waste.
“I
sat and thought about Fresh Kid and how good he was and realised that if given
a good education, he can maintain the talent and continue doing what he does
better while at the same time going to school,” he said.
Rajiv said he pays school fees for more than 50 children under the Ruparelia
Foundation.
Indeed Fresh Kid’s managers are not taking the scholarship for granted.
“As i promised yesterday, this is my final report card for third term. Thanks God, Mr Rajiv, Rupaleria foundation, Kps staff, my class teachers and all those people who are always there for my studies and music as well. May the almighty God bless you people abundantly,” they posted on Fresh Kid’s Facebook page.
