‘Poor Youth’ Leader Luzindana Appointed EAC Resident Director Of Commonwealth Vocation University

The Selection Committee of the Commonwealth University Vocational University (CVU) situated in the Kingdom of Tonga has appointed Adam Luzindana Buyinza as its Resident Director in Charge of Uganda where he will coordinate the university activities in countries in the East Africa Community.

Luzindana is the Team Leader of Public Opinions International which is a field based private sector agency working towards attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through Public Awareness, Strategic Research, Information Dissemination, Training and Mentorship and International Networking.

The organization has been involved in issuing awards to organizations and individuals around the world including the recent declaration of President Museveni as the Uganda Peace and Development Champion in recognition of his contribution to ensure peace and stability in all parts of Uganda.

Public Opinions also awarded the University of Bologna in Italy with the Global Transformation Award as the oldest continuing University in the world.

Since 2009, Public Opinions has awarded over 200 responsible investments and organisations in Uganda and over 200 individuals.

Luzindana rose to prominence in 2014 when he led the Mass Youth Movement known as the Uganda Poor Youth Movement (UPYM) as it’s supreme Leader and challenged the Leadership of President Museveni and backed the Presidential candidature of Prime Minister Rt Amama Mbabazi.

He was also serving as a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling National Resistance Movement in the capacity of National Vice Chairman NRM Youth League where he became the most vibrant and vocal National Youth Leader in Uganda.

He is the Leader of a private sector company called Buyinza Group Ltd involved in processing and distribution of Natural products such as Extra Natural Tea which is a great remedy for preventing and managing Diabetes, high blood pressure, and enlarged Prostate Gland.

Since 2006, Luzindana has been a close ally of Former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi and during the 2016 Presidential Election, the youthful Entrepreneur and Politician suffered the wrath of police Brutality during the reign of Gen Kale Kayihura the then Inspector General of Police.

Luzindana has vast network in Europe, USA and Asia having attended many sessions there and working through Asia Africa Development council based in New Delhi, London, Tonga, UAE, USA, where he is the current Executive Secretary.

In 2006 Luzindana on clearance from the Minister of Defense Amama Mbabazi and Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was sent to the People’s Republic of China where he attended high level sessions with the Leaders of the Communist Party of China.

In 2013 with clearance from President Museveni and Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi, he was sent to China where he attended Leadership Training at the Beijing Administrative College one of the Highest Leadership Academy of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Luzindana will coordinate nomination and identification of Ugandans to be considered for honorary doctorates. Prof Ripu Ranjan Sinha of the University of Tonga stated.

Luzindana has been a resourceful person to us especially here in India and other Asian Nations where he has participated in policy initiations and planning hence leading to worthwhile ventures including the Successful India African summit of 2017,The formation of Asia-Africa Knowledge consortium, etc-Prof Ripu Ranjan stated.

Luzindana was born on 7th July 1982 in a predominantly peasantry family in Butakoola village in Kayunga and rose through hardship to study Bachelor of Secretarial Studies at Makerere University.

He is a successful young business man yet he has remained humble, respectful and committed to achieve his aspirations.

At Makerere University, he founded the Makerere University Poor Students Association (MUPOSA) which united university students from poor families. This association would later on in 2014 resurrect as the Uganda Poor Youth Movement.

Since March 2016, Luzindana has kept a very low profile. He returned briefly to the media limelight on 22nd November 2019 when he organized a High Level Uganda Responsible Investment Summit and Award Ceremony which was presided over by Yoweri Kaguta Museveni President of the Republic of Uganda and attended by over 600 Responsible Investors in Uganda.

The Commonwealth Vocational University (CVU) is a 21st Century new age learning institution providing specialist knowledge and quality education programs in a varied range of disciplines.

It is the premier institution of higher learning across the Kingdom of Tonga, in the South Pacific Ocean.

The university was issued Certificate of incorporation on 20th August 2014 and the Charter was approved on 13th November 2014.
