Police: No Party Colours, Symbols Will Be Allowed At Namboole Stadium

The Uganda Police say no party colours and symbols will be allowed at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole this afternoon as the Uganda Cranes hosts Tanzania in the second game of Afcon qualifiers 2019.

“Football has always been a unifier and it should be the same this time round proving our spirit of love, the East African Community and our Pan Africanism. Therefore, we don’t expect any party COLOURS, party SYMBOLS and politics at Namboole Stadium,” SSP Emilian Kayima, PRO Uganda Police Force said in a statement this morning.

He added: “The police and sister security agencies will as usual provide security for all before, during and after the game. Our specialised security units are on ground to ensure that security is guaranteed. All high ways, round about and Namboole will have uniformed security to ensure that no crime what’s over is occasioned on anyone. Follow guidelines as given by security and FUFA officials.”
