Police Net Suspect In Gruesome Murder Of Boda Boda Cyclist

The police have announced that they have arrested the key suspect in the murder of a boda boda cyclist.

According to a statement issued by Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) spokesperson, John Bosco Mugisha aka Mukiga was arrested on Tuesday in Nsiike I, Ndeeba Rubaga Division in the capital Kampala.

“The suspect in the gruesome murder of a motorcyclist (boda boda) seen on CCTV footage that circulated widely in the social media has been arrested,” Onyango’s statement reads in part.

According to the video clip that emerged three weeks ago, two men (Mugiaha and another only identified as Young Mulo), attacked a boda-boda cyclist who was riding them. The thugs had posed as passengers.

The camera captured the two thugs red-handed strangling the boda-boda cyclist, Derrick Mulindwa to death.

One of the seemingly tactical and experienced thugs held him and twisted his neck until he dropped dead.

After overpowering him the second thug picked a huge stone and hit his head several times, until when he killed him.

Mugisha has since revealed that Mulo was killed by a mob as they tried ot escape
