It’s hard to talk about Motorsport today and you don’t sensational Rajiv Ruparelia, who has since taken the circuit by storm.
His arrival on the scene has been greeted with excitement. When organizing a motor rally and he happens not to be part on the list, then expect a lukewarm turn up of spectators.
From what i have gathered, Rajiv Ruparelia (RR) fans stretch from children to adolescents and the corporate class who admire his resilience and driving tactics that have made him envied by colleagues in the industry.
Ever since he started, he has demonstrated that he is a fearless driver and a genius on wheels through putting up electrifying performances in his Volkswagen Polo Proto car.
To make his mark, Rajiv won the Clubman Rally Championship (CRC) category championship at the Total Kabalega rally in Hoima, a morale boosting win for someone who just joined rallying in June.
Rajiv finished the event in a time 01:09:37 and making a big statement that he is there to stay.
The clubman rally championship category serves as the springboard for the main event.
As someone who attended the event, i learnt important factors that make Rajiv tick.
CAMP FIRE
Rajiv’s entourage of mechanics, therapists, advisers, chefs and others all assemble and stay in a camp where everything is provided freely from break breakfast, lunch and super complied with a cocktail of all tribes of drinks just to keep his team in banquet mood.
At the camp, one of the most critical general rule is observing cleanliness and zero dumping of rubbish. Everything is put in order and rubbish is dumped at common collection centre or dust bin.
This is a very rare principle at the motor rally where spectators are used to slowing rubbish wherever they wish. This has given RR team a very well organized out look that meets international standards. This is what has endeared him to his growing number of fans.
