Democratic Party President Norbert Mao has been arrested by police at City House, the Party’s headquarters this morning as the party was launching a campaign against removal of age limit dubbed “togikwatako”. He was arrested with several DP leaders yet to be named.
Over fifteen youth donning party t. shirts with inscriptions” 102 togikwatako” have also been arrested from different parts of the city centre and taken to cps.
Opposition Democratic Party (DP) were planning to collect signatures of Ugandans against the lifting of the age limit today.
A circular issued by the party president, Norbert Mao, said fhe members were to move to the Constitutional Square to collect signatures of
Ugandans that are against the Constitution amendment.
