Uganda Cranes players will earn an extra USD500 (Shs1.8m) if they win against Ghana this afternoon.
The pledge was made by FUFA President Moses Magogo as he paid a courtesy visit to the team’s camp at Sky Hotel in Naalya last night.
According to the FA’s official website, the players who usually earn a winning bonus of USD2500 (Shs8.9m) will get an extra Shs1.8m for what is termed as a crucial World Cup qualifier against Ghana.
“This is a very important match which should be treated as a Cup final for that matter, we have increased the winning bonus from $2500 to $3000,” said Magogo.
He also tasked them not to forget themselves because the better they perform the more chances of getting better opportunities.
“Though you need to make people happy, don’t forget yourself and you should know that football your business,” stressed Magogo.
