The Ministry of ICT and National Guidance has released a list of applicants who qualified for the innovators fund.
This was after the ministry published in the media requesting for ICT Innovation proposals to develop systems and applications to improve service delivery. This call run till the 24th January 2019.
“The Ministry takes this opportunity to thank all the individuals, organizations and teams which responded and submitted proposals to the National ICT Initiatives Support Program (NIISP). A total of 665 applications were received and evaluated by the Committee of experts which was appointed by the Minister of ICT and National Guidance Hon. Frank Tumwebaze,” a statement from the ministry reads.
100 applicants have been selected to pitch to the committee assisted by representatives from respective government Ministries where the innovation is relevant.
The pitching activity will take place from the 16th-18th April, 2019 while those who dont make it will be accorded free space at the innovator hub.
The ministry is currently implementing the National ICT Initiatives Support Program(NISP) whose main aim is to develop the ICT Innovation ecosystem.
