The order paper of today’s Parliamentary sitting indicates that the Constitutional (Amendment) (No.2) Bill 2017 commonly referred to as Age Bill will have its first reading this afternoon.
The order paper obtained by Business Focus shows that Igara West MP, Raphael Magyezi, the man behind the bill will use about five minutes to read the Bill for the first time.
The bill seeks to remove Presidential age limits so that a person above 75 years of age can stand for presidency, but it has received massive opposition from Ugandans.
