As millions of Christians traveled to Namugongo for the Uganda Martyrs Day celebrations today, other Christians from different parts of the world flocked another little known powerful martyrs site-Kimaanya Shrine in Masaka District.
At this site, there are some of the remains and tools used in the early days when persecution was at the highest peak during Kabaka Mwanga’s reign.
The mass was led by Fr. Pere Richard Nyombi, a priest from White Fathers from Nsambya assisted by Fr. Joseph Matovu and other religious leaders.
Fr. Nyombi preached against Christians that have religiously backslid and engaging into crimes like kidnap, murder, child sacrifice, corruption in public offices and intrigue.
