Uganda To Discharge 3 Patients Who Have Recovered From COVID-19

The Ministry of Health has revealed that three patients have recovered from COVID-19 and are set to be released.

In a press statement dated April9, 2020, Dr. Henry G. Mwebesa (pictured), the Director General Health Services at the Ministry of Health said all the 338 samples tested on Thursday by Uganda Virus Research Institute were negative.

“Three cases have tested negative twice after treatment and are being considered for discharge by the Clinicians,” Dr. Mwebesa said.

He added: “All the 53 confirmed COVID-19 cases are in stable condition at Mulago National Specialized Hospital (20), Entebbe Grade B Hospital (31), Adjumani (1) and Hoima (1) hospitals.”

He reteirated that Uganda hasn’t registered any COVID-19 related death.
