Uganda Registers More COVID-19 Cases From Communities As Confirmed Cases Climb To 97

Uganda’s Ministry of Health yesterday Monday May 4, 2020, confirmed eight new COVID-19 cases confirmed.

Six tested positive out of 2,061 samples of truck drivers while 2 cases are from the community confirmed from the Rapid Assessment Survey.  Uganda now has four cases from the community.

“5 truck drivers arrived via Malaba border post while 1 arrived via Mutukula point of entry.

1 community case, a resident of Kyotera District while the other is a Ugandan truck driver from Mutukula,” the Ministry tweeted.

Total COVID-19 confirmed cases in Uganda stand at 97 while total discharges are 55.
