Sudan’s BADR Airlines Launches Flights To Entebbe Airport

The airline was received by the Ambassadors of Sudan and South Sudan and officials from UCAA

Sudan’s BADR Airlines  on March 31, 2023 made its maiden flight to Entebbe International Airport.

The 180 seater aircraft was received with a water salute on touch down at 14.30 hours and was received by the Ambassadors of Sudan and South Sudan.

“The airline will initially start with one flight every Friday, and has plans of adding a second flight on Tuesday in the short run,” Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) said via its official twitter handle.

Formerly Sarit Airlines (from 1997 to 2004), BADR Airlines is mainly engaged in Passenger and Cargo transportation and occasionally provides chartered VIP flights.

The airline is mainly engaged in cargo transportation for Humanitarian Aid provided by WFP, UNICEF, MSF, FAO and Red Cross.

Besides Entebbe Airport, BADR Airlines’ other global destinations include Dubai, Cairo, Jeddah, Istanbul, Addis Ababa, Kano, Juba, Wau and London among others.
