Premier Recruitment Sends More 14 Ugandans For Jobs In Saudi Arabia

In an effort to fight the high levels of unemployment in the country, Premier Recruitment Ltd, a labour hiring agency is increasingly securing lucrative jobs for Ugandans in Middle East countries.

Under Ruparelia Group of Companies, Premier Recruitment on Tuesday sent more 14 girls to work as domestic workers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

“Today another 14 candidates left for Jeddah to work as housemaids for 2 years,” Premier Recruitment Agency Ltd said in a statement.

These went through Entebbe International Airport considering the fact that Premier Recruitment is licensed by the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development for both external and internal recruitment.

It is worth noting that a number of Ugandans have been trafficked through Kenya and ended up suffering or dying in foreign countries.

Rajiv Ruparelia, the Chief Executive Officer of Premier Recruitment recently  told Business Focus that they are happy to play part in finding lucrative jobs for the unemployed Ugandan youths.

He said domestic workers (maids)  have a two- year contract (renewable) and each one of them will be pocketing Shs900,000 monthly in addition to other key benefits.

“We are committed to reducing unemployment in Uganda by providing suitable employment opportunities. Before we started operations, we went to Riyadh, Jeddah & Dubai to do background checks,” Rajiv said.

The labour recruiting agency has already helped 38 unemployed Ugandan females in the last 2 months get jobs abroad.

“We have visited the offices of the agencies we work with in Saudi Arabia and have strong relationships with them to ensure our candidates are placed in good households. Good luck to this latest group who are embarking on their new journey! They will save money and learn new skills and experiences,” the company said.

The recruitment of workers is ongoing at the company headquarters at Crane Chambers along  Kampala road.
