MUNTU EXIT: FDC Supporters Slaughter Sheep, Dance ‘Paka Chini’ In Celebration

FDC supporters in Soroti have celebrated the exit of Maj. Gen Mugisha Muntu. The supporters accused Muntu for not adhering to the principles of democracy.

The supporters who say that they identify with the current leadership of FDC Party President Patrick Oboi Amuriat (POA) blamed Muntu for being selfish.

The more than 200 supporters gathered at Soroti district FDC party office located at Akisim ward in Soroti municipality and slaughtered a sheep to celebrate Muntu’s exit.

Isaac Elakuna, Speaker of Soroti Municipal Council says that Muntu’s departures will instead strengthen the party.

Nakalet Okello, another supporter says that they are not about to cross to Muntu’s political group, The New Formation.

Daniel Eigu, LC3 chairperson Kamuda Sub County, says that the FDC party is bigger than any individual and they pledge to continue paying allegiance to their party.

However, John Enomu, Soroti FDC Chairperson and a staunch supporter of Muntu distanced himself from the celebrations.
