It’s Discriminatory To Leave Ex President Idi Amin’s Family Struggling To Survive- Ssemunju

It is discriminatory to leave the family of late former Ugandan President family Idi Amin Dada struggling to survive, Ibrahim Ssemunju Nganda (pictured), the opposition chief-Whip, has claimed.

His remarks comes at a time when one of Amin’s wife Amin Madinah is suffering in hospital and failing to pay medical bills yet parliament passed a Presidential Emoluments and Benefits Act that takes care of families of former presidents.

Ssemuju says that it’s discriminatory and embarrassing for the government of Uganda not to take care of Amin’s family yet other former presidents families are taken care of.

Ssemuju has now asked the deputy speaker, Jacob Oulanya to task the ministry of public service to appear in parliament and explain the criteria used when providing emoluments  to families of former presidents.
