Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom has disassociated itself from Muzamil Bikanga, a city lawyer who has been arrested in connection with the murder of accountant Susan Magara. This is after media reports indicated that Bikanga was working for the kingdom.
“This is to clarify that Mr. Muzamil Bikanga ceased being a member of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom on 15th January 2018 when his Majesity terminated the services of the former Prime Minister Hon. Norman Lukumu and dissolved the entire cabinet,” Andrew K. Byakutaga, the Bunyoro Kingdom Prime Minister said in a press statement dated 4th May 2018.
He added: “Therefore, media reports referring to him as a Deputy Attorney General or Attorney General of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom are false. The Kingdom supports investigations that are aimed at ensuring the law takes its course and justice prevails.”
After missing for close to three weeks, Susan Magara was found dead on February 27, 2018 at the southern bypass (off the Entebbe Express way).
Magara disappeared after the vehicle she was driving was found parked in what was believed to be a kidnap. She worked with Bwendeiro Dairy Farm in Hoima district as a cashier before her death.
