Hailemariam Desalegn, who has served as Ethiopia’s Prime Minister since 2012, has resigned.
Reports feom Ethiopia indicate that he submitted a resignation letter to his party during an emergency meeting of the ruling Ethiopian People’s Democratic Front.
It’s unclear if the party has or will accept his request.
