Acholi MPs Worried About Speaker Oulanyah’s Whereabouts, Health

Speaker Jacob Oulanyah has been absent at Parliament for a long time

Members of Parliament under the Acholi Parliamentary Group are worried about the whereabouts of Speaker Jacob Oulanyah.

They have  promised to look for him wherever he is  and update the country about his health status.

Addressing journalists on the priorities of the association today, the Acholi MPs led by their chairperson Anthony Akol said that given the fact that the speaker comes from their region, everyone is asking them about whereabouts of the speaker.

Akol said that they are going to seek permission from deputy speaker Anita Among to go and visit the speaker wherever he is so that they can back and inform the country.

The Agago North MP, Amos Okot  said that he is disappointed with what is happening to the speaker, saying that he cannot take leave at the time when they are supposed to be implementing his agenda.

Okot also said that they want to make an audit of all the government programs in their region to find out why their people are still poor despite various government interventions.

Oulanyah has not appeared in public since May when he was elected Speaker of the 11th Parliament.
