She was accompanied by Alice Kaboyo, the State Minister for Luwero – Rwenzori Triangle.

The PM noted that her mandate is to monitor government programmes and expressed satisfaction with the progress of work in relation to the ground floor works for the Modification of the Passenger Terminal Building whose progress stands at 89%.

“We are impressed by the progress and the quality of work that has been done by the UPDF Engineers Brigade at our airport,” Nabbanja said, adding: “We are hopeful that the parts that are being upgraded and expanded will be ready for use before the G77+ China and the Non-Aligned Movement Summits that Uganda will host early next year.”

The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) Director General, Fred Bamwesigye, thanked the PM for the support rendered to UCAA in the implementation of projects especially the modification and extension of the passenger terminal whose completion works are being undertaken by the UPDF Engineering Brigade.
