Uganda COVID-19 Cases Rise To 203 After 43 Truck Drivers Contract Disease

Uganda’s COVID-19 cases have shoot up to 203 after 43 new cases were confirmed on Friday May15, 2020 from 1,838 samples of truck drivers.

According to Ministry of Health, 15 Ugandans,9 Kenyans and 4 Eritreans were confirmed positive at Elegu entry point while Mutukula point, 5 Tanzanians and  1 Burundian tested positive.

At Malaba, 5 Kenyans, 2 Ugandans, 1 Burundian and 1 nationality unknown tested positive.

“All 720 community samples have tested negative for COVID-19,” the Ministry said.

Uganda has 63 recoveries and has not recorded any COVID-19 related deaths.
