Singer John Blaq Joins Rajiv Rally Fan Base Ahead Of Jinja Rally

Singer John Blaq poses with Rajiv Ruparelia (R)

Renowned singer John Kasadha popularly known as John Blaq has joined Rajiv Ruparelia Rally Fan Base ahead of Jinja Rally slated to take place this weekend Saturday and Sunday.

The Jinja Rally will mark the second round of this year’s National Rally Championship after the Mbarara rally.

Duncan Mubiru ‘Kikankane’ together Musa Nsubuga driving a Mitsubishi Evo X won the 2020 National Rally Championship opener in Mbarara.

It was bad news for prospect, Rajiv Ruparelia who was not able to finish the rally after dropping out.

Rajiv, together with Enock Olinga in their Volkswagen Polo Proto had taken over matters on day one after posting 13 seconds ahead after posting 13 minutes, 17 seconds and 74 microseconds in the number one position but on the final day, things didn’t go on well with them as their vehicle broke down to ensure an unwanted abrupt finish for the team.

Rajiv promised to come back stronger and is upbeat of doing well in the Jinja Rally.

The new rally ace has a strong fan base that cheer him on when he’s on the wheels.

In a recent interview,  Rajiv Ruparelia, who is the Mangaing Director of Ruparelia Group said  he is determined to win the National Rally Championship (NRC) and the Africa Rally Championship (ARC).

Rajiv is known as ‘Double Trouble’ by his rally team and fans.

Asked why whether he coined this catchword himself, Rajiv answered in affirmative.

And on why he chose it, he said “because we wanted to come in and cause some trouble in the scene. So we sought about the name Ugandans would love to shout. It was about the fans, what will they remember, what will stick in them. How do we become a household brand? So next time we go to rally, they will remember Double Trouble. We didn’t like a complicated name.”

He wants to build a strong fan base that is full of life and having John Blaq join his camp is a step in the right direction.
