SHOCKING! CID Okays M7 Supporter Attack Suspects To Take Selfies In cells, Post On Social Media

Pictures have emerged showing suspects accused of beating up a businesswoman to near death, taking selfies in police cells.

The four suspects including a policeman Henry Byamukama a policeman, were arrested following a brutal iron-bar-hit-attack on a helpless woman last month. The other suspects include; Glorius Kyomugisha a girlfriend to the police officer, Brian Tibaremwa, Alex Byamukama and Sunday son of Kezekia. They were all transferred to Kampala following their arrests.

On  the 3rd of October 2019, at about 19:40 hours at Katuna border, assailants attacked an old lady as she went about her business in her shop.

Kellen Rwengabo, a 65-year-old businesswoman was attacked as she returned from checking on her tenants in the quarters of one of her commercial houses at the Katuna border.

Reports reveal that as she moved from the tenant’s quarters back to the front where her shop is, a helpless Kellen was mercilessly attacked and hit with a hammer about 3 times or so, leaving her for dead. 

One of her tenants heard the groans from the shop a few minutes after and appeared to her rescue. Kellen was rushed to Rugarama hospital which later referred her to a bigger hospital in Kampala as her case was complex. The old woman fell into a coma for almost a month. However, on waking up, she gradually regained her memory and was able to remember the fateful day and her attackers including the happenings of that evening that almost cost her life.

The police officer arrested is said to be attached to to Katuna border post. 

It is not clear why Kellen was attacked but people in the area know her as one of President Yoweri Museveni’s

However, what has baffled many is the freedom suspects seem to be enjoying despite being under lock and key by the police.

Some are now taking selfies in cells courtesy of the officers who are supposedly investigating the crime. One of the suspects has reportedly posted a selfie from a cell on his Facebook account. 

Many people have been shocked that the suspects have been able to take selfies and even share on their social media accounts like they are happy about the brutal incident.

This leaves a lot of questions about the competency of the Uganda police in the walk towards justice,.

The police has come under attack for the way it handles business with journalists announcing a boycott of the force’s activities.

SP Brian Ampeire said the arrested are on file number SD/KLE/1533/19 CRB. Kellen Rwengabo Tibehenderwa who survived the hammer attack has moved into her Kampala home where the family members lived before the attack.
