Ruparelia Foundation Officially Hands Over 2 Pickup Trucks To COVID-19 Task Force

The Ruparelia Foundation, the charitable arm of Ruparelia Group of Companies on Thursday officially handed over two brand new vehicles model- Tata Xenon pickup trucks to the Uganda’s National Taskforce on COVID-19 which is headed by Prime Minister, Ruhakana Rugunda.

Ahmed Bongo, who represented the Ruparelia Foundation, said the Ruparelia Group of Companies stands together with Uganda in the fight against the deadly COVID-19.

“I know we shall win (this war) with concerted efforts,” Bongo said.

He thanked government for providing a conducive business atmosphere in the country.

While accepting the cars, Premier Rugunda thanked the Ruparelia Foundation for the good heart and urged corporate companies to emulate this gesture.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni had earlier appealed to affluent Ugandans to donate cars and money which will help in the fight against COVID-19.

Property mogul, Sudhir Ruparelia through his Ruparelia Foundation had earlier kicked off a campaign of delivering food, water and other essential medical supplies to the vulnerable people living in deplorable areas of Kampala after government banned public transport.
