Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni is hosting national prayers on Saturday with an appeal to Ugandans to pray for an end to coronavirus.

The prayers will be held starting at 1pm and will be televised.

“I have invited religious leaders to join me at State House Entebbe tomorrow, Saturday, for national prayers as we fight the Covid-19 pandemic. The televised prayers will start at 1pm. I urge all Ugandans to pray for our country while observing the health guidelines,” Museveni said.

On Friday, the country confirmed 13 more cases bringing the total number to 114.
