Two hotels under the Ruparelia Group of Companies owned by property mogul Sudhir Ruparelia have won the World Luxury Hotel Awards 2019.
Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort Hotel was awarded the best luxury hotel and conference centre in East Africa, while Speke Resort and Conference Centre was voted 2019’s best Luxury Lakeside Resort in the African continent, according to certificates signed off by Brandon Lourens, the Chairman and CEO of World Luxury Hotel Awards.
“This award serves as recognition of sustained commitment to excellence in hoteliering and outstanding and the achievement in the international luxury hospitality industry…,” the awards to the above hotels reads in part.
Started 2001, Speke Resort is spread on approximately 90 acres of land.
The hotel has a total of 472 rooms divided into seven categories.
It consists of five restaurants, two bars, gym, two swimming pools, steam sauna, spa, squash court, business centre, boat ride and horse ride in the hotel.
