Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has said he does not mind being annoyed saying punitive laws on that are colonial.
Museveni made the remarks during a televised public address about his countrywide operation wealth creation tour,
“I don’t mind being annoyed, I have been annoyed many times and that law is a colonial law which I used to hear about but the bigger issue is why do you tell lies. I will talk to Police officers to concentrate on lies and incitement,” Museveni said.
His remarks come on the heels of arrests made by the police charging some individuals with ‘annoying the person of the president’ among other things.
