More details continue to emerge on the newly launched Fourth Industrial Revolution Task force.
According to a list accessed by this website, the task force will be headed by former ICT Minister, John Nasasira and he will be deputised by ICT Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Vincent Bagire.
Government Citizens Interaction Centre (GCIC) bosses, Awel Uwihangaye and and his deputy, Duncan Abigaba have been named on the publicity committee.
Also on the publicity committee are Red Pepper Director, Arinaitwe Rugyendo and Chimp Reports’ Giles Muhame.
The 29 member committee consists of Permanent Secretaries of Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, Ministry of Science and Technology, Heads of ICT Departments of Makerere University and Kyambogo University, other Government Officials, Members of the Civil Society, and Development Partners.
It has been set up to increase awareness of the comprehensiveness and speed of the technological revolution and its multifaceted impact, and a framework for adopting the technological revolution.
