Fortebet, one of the leading Sports betting companies in Uganda has donated footballs to a team of children in Kisaasi, a Kampala suburb called ‘Kabi Danger’.
This is to fulfil one of the company’s goals; to promote the growth and development of sports in the country.
Fortebet has the largest branch network in Uganda and the highest betting odds on the Ugandan market.
The handover event took place on Friday at Kisaasi Muslim Secondary Play Ground.
Fortebet Media Manager, John Nanyumba said that, “We have done this so many times and we shall do this many more times to come.
One of our goals in Uganda is to see sporting talents develop to greater heights because sport is one of the high earning sectors across the world.”
He added: “We have plenty of footballs, team jerseys and many more sporting items that we shall continue to give out all over Uganda. The best way of ensuring sustainable sports growth and development is investment in young talents. This is exactly what Fortebet is doing.”
The football recipients could not hide their happiness. The team Captain, Anderson Kanyike said, “We thank Fortebet for thinking about us. We didn’t ask for the balls, but you looked for us all the way from Kisasi. We are extremely very happy because we have been playing a very bad ball as you can see it.”
Fortebet has not only invested in young talent development, but also in the Uganda Premier League.
The company is currently engaged in a number of CSR including giving out gifts to its clients across all its branches.
