Mantra Motorbike EA Ltd introduced the world’s largest two-wheeler company by unit sales; Hero MotoCorp to the Ugandan market.
With this, it has redefined Uganda’s transport system with the launch of fast, safe, durable and affordable motorcycles called HERO.
The motorcycles are solely distributed by a leading automotive dealer; Mantra Motorbike EA, which is part of AL Mansour Automotive Group, which is one of the largest General Motors dealers with brands such as Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac & AC Delco along with Opel, Peugeot, MG & Isuzu.The four State-of-the-art bikes launched are; the Dawn 100, Dawn 125, Dawn 150 TR and scooter Destini 125.
The motorcycles were introduced into the market at a refined cutting-edge event at the Mantra/Hero showroom located at Ghats Complex, 1st street Industrial area, opposite Uganda Management Institute (UMI) and later an exclusive dinner at the Kampala Serena hotel.

Operations have been ongoing for a couple of months with an assembly plant in Ntinda Industrial area, a sales outlet in Ndeeba, and the showroom/main offices on Jinja road. The launch of a new motor bike brand is a game changer especially in the commercial motor-cycle taxi industry commonly known as Boda Bodas, which are estimated to be about 100,000 within Kampala; as Hero Motorcycles give longer mileage per litre of fuel compared to any other brand.

The dawn 100 is pocket friendly; ideal for the local BodaBoda business, The dawn 125 is perfectly suited for rough street roads or hilly areas, the Destini 125 scooter and the dawn 150 are your safest bet for office errands and delivery businesses. Not forgetting the style and look; the Hero bikes are the epitome of well-rounded machines,” Khadr added.
Mantra Motorbike EA Limited operates state of art showrooms and workshops at Jinja Road &Ndeeba with complete range of spare parts stocked in an area of 400 sq. mts.
Apart from Kampala, Hero motorcycles are available in cities of Mbale, Arua&Isingiro, through the dealership network of Mantra Motorbike EA Limited and soon they will be available across the country.
