Police in Luwero District are currently searching for a man suspected of fatally torturing his 15-year-old employee, accusing him of stealing 150,000 Shillings.
The incident took place on Saturday at approximately 2 p.m. in Kiyenje village, Luwero town council. The victim, identified as Patrick Kibirige, hailed from Kito-Nakikoota in Luwero town council.
The wanted suspect is Kiwanuka Senkumba, also known as Kiwa, who works as an outside caterer at various events. According to Sam Twiineamazima, the Savannah Regional Police spokesperson, the suspect allegedly beat the victim into a coma, leading to his death.
Subsequently, the suspect hastily transported the victim to Luwero Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Twiineamazima further stated that the suspect deceived the deceased’s mother, instructing her to attend to her supposedly ill son, while claiming he had fled.
Upon receiving the report, the police promptly responded, filing charges of murder. Additionally, they visited Luwero Hospital, recovering several pieces of evidence from the scene as the search for the suspect continued.
