Cumulative COVID-19 Cases Of Ugandans Hit 1,000 Mark

The Ministry of Health has confirmed 23 new cases of COVID-19 from tests done on 08 July 2020.

The cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 1,000 while COVID recoveries are 908, the Ministry added.

Of the 23 confirmed cases, 12 are Ugandan nationals who returned from abroad; 8 from Afghanistan, 3 from DRC and one from South Sudan.

The Ministry said they were all under quarantine at the time of test.

31 foreign truck drivers also tested positive for COVID-19 at border points of entry and their entry into Uganda was not permitted.

To-date, Uganda isn’t to record any COVID-19 related death.
