BREAKING: Two Ugandans Shot Dead By Rwanda Security Along The Uganda – Rwanda Border

Disturbing reports from the south western Uganda reveal that Ugandan citizens have been shot dead along the Uganda – Rwanda border.

Reports reveal that two Ugandan businessmen were shot dead by security forces in Rwanda’s border town of Nyagatare.

The incident comes days after two Rwandan nationals were shot at by the country’s security forces for attempting to smuggle food from Uganda.

The Uganda police has released a statement confirming the deadly incident.

“It’s alleged that on the 9/11/2019 at around 20:00 hours at Tabagwe village in Nyagatare district in Rwanda two Ugandans were shot dead by Rwandese security forces on allegation that they were smuggling tobacco into Rwanda which is prohibited in the country,” the statement released by the Kigezi Sub region police spokesperson says.

It adds, “The deceased are ; Byarushaga Ayub m/a aged 37 years resident of Nyakabungo cell, Kashekye Parish Kamwezi sub county in Rukiga District and Tuhirwe JohnBosco m/a aged 30 years of the same address.”

Early this year, Rwanda closed her border with Uganda and warned nationals against entering the latter saying it is not safe for them.
