Relief As Govt Makes OTT Tax Valid For 24 Hours

Government and telecom companies have revealed that effective November 1, 2018, the validity of daily Over-the-Top  (OTT)  tax of Shs200 has changed from midnight to 24 hours.

Ian Rumanyika (in featured photo), the Manager Public & Corporate Affairs at Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), says that the decision follows engagements with  various stakeholders and parties including URA, Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), telecom companies and the taxpayers.
