Award winning song writer, Sylver Kyagulanyi on Friday evening graduated from the Law Development Centre (LDC) much to the excitement of his family, friends and fans.
A surprise graduation party was thrown for the legendary song writer at Posh Skyz Hotel in Naguru. The party was organised by SIKIA studio manager, Asaba Emma.
Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Justice Mike Chibita was among those who attended the do.
Fellow musicians, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and Hilderman also attended the colorful function.
Speaking at the event, Bobi Wine who also doubles as Kyadondo East lawmaker praised Sylver for his decision to study law saying it inspired him.
“We are proud of you Sylver. You have shown us that it is possible to achieve. I hope I can inspire fellow youths,” Bobi Wine said.
The DPP lauded Kyagulanyi for his achievement saying he believed the legendary song writer will help in enforcing the copyright law in Uganda.
Sylver Kyagulanyi who was visibly overwhelmed by emotion and excited by the achievement, spoke of his experience at the LDC, saying it took a lot of sacrifice.
“I didn’t expect this party. I don’ know what to say but thank you for the pleasant surprise,” Kyagulanyi who scooped a first class degree when doing his Bachelor of Laws said.
