Uganda’s military Spokesperson has trashed media reports claiming that a senior army officer was recently arrsted in connection to the murder of former Police spokesperson, Andrew Felix Kaweesi.
Brigadier Richard Karemire revealed this in a tweet he made on Monday morning saying some people have been masquarading as army officers.
“No senior Army officer is apprehended in connection with the murder of AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi. some of the suspects must have been masquerading as security operatives,” he said.
Last week, a local Ugandan newspaper claimed that a senior amry officer had been held over the murder that occurred on the 17th of March 2017 in the capital Kampala. Kaweesi was killed together with his bodyguard and driver in a tragic incident that shocked the nation.
