Uganda Airlines boss, Jenifer Bamuturaki (Right) taking over the presidency of AFRAA
The Chief Executive Officer of Uganda Airlines, Jenifer Bamuturaki has been elected President the Africa Airlines Association (AFRAA).
She was voted during the 54th AFRAA Annual General Assembly that was held at the Centre International des Conférences Abdou Diouf in Dakar, Sénégal.
“We are delighted to have our CEO, Ms. Jenifer Bamuturaki elected as President of the Africa Airlines Association (AFRAA). She takes over from CEO of Air Senegal, Mr. Alioune Badara Fall at the #AFRAA54AGA in Dakar, Senegal,” Uganda Airlines tweeted via its official twitter handle.
Uganda will host the next AFRAA Annual General Assembly next year.
It is worth noting that Bamuturaki recently won the coveted Africa Travel 100 Award which recognises exceptional women in the travel and tourism sector.
She has previously served as the Commercial Director of Uganda Airlines, responsible for Commercial, Sales & Marketing, scheduling and network planning end-to-end management and sales and service support to all markets and Countries of operation.
Previously, she worked for Air Uganda and East African Airlines.
As she is widely called, Jenny has over 20 years of experience in Commercial, Sales & Marketing direction in the Aviation, Travel and Hospitality industries.
Her wealth of expertise is building teams, developing strategic resellers relationships, negotiations and route development.
Jenny has also served as Sales and Marketing Director of International Hotel Brands.
She is a Social Scientist with certifications from IATA, Starwood and other leadership and professional training.
