Sheikh Muzata, Katuntu, Eat Big In Cabinet List Trashed By Govt

The Uganda government spokesperson, Ofwono Opondo has dismissed social media reports that the country’s president has reshuffled his cabinet.

Opondo made this dismissal in a tweet on Monday evening after a list purporting to show new cabinet members started making rounds on social media platforms and various WhatsApp groups.

“Ministers #UgCabinet don’t have a heart attack #NoCabinetReshuffle. Ignore fake news on social media,” Opondo tweeted.

Sarah Kagingo

In the list making rounds on social media, former President Museveni Social Media handler, Sarah Kagingo had been made State Minister of ICT while Frank Tumwebaze relegated to the ministry without portfolio.

The fake list indicates that NRM Secretary General, Justine Kasule Lumumba has been appointed Minister of East African Affairs while controversial Muslim cleric Sheikh Nuhu Muzata appointed minister in charge of Islamic Affairs. Veteran motor mouthed journalist and talkshow panelist is the new Kampala Capital City Authority minister in the new list that has been dismissed by government.
