Nyamityobora Football Club have appointed Alex Isabirye Musongola as Technical Director on a three-year contract.
“The appointment means that we have someone who can oversee our technical issues as we did not have a substantial coach since Mr Asaph Mwebaze opted not to continue with us following the 2-0 loss at home to Express FC last week,” the Club management said in a statement.
It added that all details and personal terms remain exclusive to both parties and are not subject to media consumption.
The contract, however, is subject to the primary role of ensuring the club remains in the top flight league.
Nyamityobora patron, Ali Ssekatawa commented: “We are pleased to have reached an understanding with Alex Isabirye. He was with us in the Big League and it is the solid foundation he laid that earned us promotion. We are the biggest team with the most loyal fans in Western Uganda and we believe he is the right person to ensure our fans are happy.”
Isabirye’s appointment takes immediate effect and he will be with the team when it travels to Zombo to play Paidha Black Angels at Bar Okoro Stadium in Zombo on Thursday.
“We wish Isabirye a good stay at Nyamityobora FC and wish Mr Mwebaze good luck in his future endeavours,” the statement added.
