Musicians Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool, Catherine Kusasira and Ibrahim Mayanja aka Big Eye have reportedly been given 30 cows each to improves their household incomes.
According to reports, the artists were blessed with the herd of cows by President Yoweri Museveni for their continued loyalty and mobilization support for the president.
Big Eye confirmed the reports on his Facebook page, thanking the president for supporting his income generating activities.
“Goodmorning beautifull people, kindly join me to thank Mr president HE YOWERI KAGUTA MUSEVENI for increasing my level of income by offering me a herd of 30 cows. Where by am going to be doing music and at the same time doing farming. Mr Balaam Barugahara, Madam Catherine Kusasira and Mr Moses Sali Bebe Cool delivered well Mr president. Thank you Mr President may God continue blessing you with more life and favour. Its me your last born Muzukulu Big Eye,” Big Eye posted on his Facebook page.
Museveni has been courting the support of musicians in the run up to the 2021 general elections where he is widely expected to seek another term of office.
His association with musicians has been prompted by the meteoric rise of singer cum politician, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine who has declared his intentions to run for the country’s most coveted office.
He recently appointed Kusasira as his Special Presidential Adviser on Kampala affairs, an appointment that has not gone down well with some leaders in the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.
