Kapchorwa hospital in eastern Uganda has been partially closed after 19 staff members tested positive for coronavirus.
The district chief administrative officer said only maternal health services and the laboratory will remain open to deal with emergencies.
All the other wards together with the out-patient department and the pharmacy have been closed.
Officials have advised the community to use other health facilities in the meantime.
The health ministry says it has dispatched teams to the area to assess the situation.
Uganda has witnessed a sharp rise in coronavirus cases in September with over 100 cases recorded daily, bringing total positive cases to more than 6,700.
