Health PS Dr Diana Pays Tribute To Health Workers, Urges Ugandans To Maintain Vigilance

The Health Minister Permanent Secretary has praised the efforts of health workers in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thank you our health teams and everyone to keep this curve down .It is hard work and let us maintain the focus,” Dr Diana Atwine tweeted on Monday.

She added, “We must maintain vigilance against Covid 19 because prevention is better than cure .Covid 19 is expensive.”

Diana and the health minister, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng have won massive public praise and approval for the leadership they have provided in the fight against the spread of coronavirus.

Dr Diana also clarified on the issue of paid interns.

“Funds for interns were not adequate because our annual budget is below the number we got this year. MOFPED was notified and sought clearance to use some funds. Our apologies for the delay but it was paid .Let the interns get I touch with their hospitals. Paid last week Thursday,” Diana said last week.

Uganda has registered 55 cases of coronavirus with 28 recoveries.
